Reading

I try to read broadly, everything from picture books to the classics. I’m drawn to good stories with heart and great writing. I don’t think I could ever choose a favourite book, but here are some I love:

  • The Princess Bride, by William Goldman
  • Coraline, by Neil Gaiman
  • Stardust, by Neil Gaiman
  • A Necklace of Raindrops, by Joan Aiken
  • The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas
  • Bitter Greens, by Kate Forsyth
  • The Book Thief, by Marcus Zusak
  • Because of Winn-Dixie, by Kate Di Camillo
  • Raymie Nightingale, by Kate Di Camillo
  • Dracula, by Bram Stoker
  • Captain Sneer – by Penny Morrison
  • Just Kidding, by Andy Griffiths
  • A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle
  • The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Juster
  • Mr Pusskins, by Sam Lloyd
  • Matilda, by Roald Dahl
  • The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green
  • A Most Magical Girl, by Karen Foxlee
  • Masquerade, by Kylie Fornaiser
  • Undomestic Goddess, by Sophie Kinsella
  • You’re Five series, by Shelly Unwin
  • Treasure Island, by Robert Louis-Stevenson
  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by J.K Rowling

    and many others…
